Job Vacancy

Company Description
Cancer Lifeline South West Ltd. is a Devon-based charity that provides support to cancer patients and their carers. We offer ‘Time to Retune’ breaks – fully funded 3-day residential breaks designed to give individuals time and space to rest, reflect, and connect with others who understand their experiences.

Role Description
We are currently seeking freelance facilitators to work within a small therapeutic team. Our facilitators enjoy this work and find it rewarding.

The role would suit a UKCP/BACP accredited psychotherapist, psychologist, art(s)therapist or other qualified professional.

We are looking for practitioners who:

  • have experience of leading relaxation/meditation group sessions
  • have experience of running therapeutic groups
  • are able to offer 1 to 1 support if appropriate
  • are willing to work in a small residential team

Following a successful interview, we offer a trial experience. In this initial break, you would work alongside experienced facilitators. On your second break, you would be expected to take on more responsibility. You would not be expected to be the Lead Facilitator until you had experienced at least three breaks.

This is a freelance ad-hoc role. The fee for the trial break would be £360, increasing to £720 for subsequent breaks. You will also be provided with accommodation and food during the break. We are currently running 3 to 4 breaks per year, dependent on fundraising.

You need to be in regular supervision as the work, whilst wonderful, is also demanding of a range of skills.

To apply, please send your CV with a covering letter to info@cancer-lifeline.org by the deadline of 5pm on Friday 28th August 2026.
