Music To Suit All Sorts At Ugbrooke Family Fun Day
The live music can be found on the lawn in front of the Orangery, right in the middle of the Food Court, so you can satisfy your hunger and thirst for music and sustenance at the same time. It all kicks off at noon and here’s what you can expect to hear (timings are approximate)
12 noon The Chudleigh Shantymen
The Chudleigh Shantymen are a sea shanty band from Chudleigh, Devon, who formed in 2014. They perform a mix of traditional sea shanties and songs specifically written for them. Their performances include local events, private parties, and even appearances at Plymouth Pirate Weekend.
12.30pm Georgia Omarah
Making the music scene stand to attention with her performances of a beautiful and organic nature, Georgia has been compared to many great artists such as Adele, Birdy, Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse and Carole King, yet still creates a unique performance time and time again.
1.15pm The Wayward Pynes
The Wayward Pynes are Adrian Middleton and Patrick Johnson, a piano/vocal duo. Both former teachers, they have also worked professionally in the entertainment industry; theatre in particular. Since their arrival in Devon, they have written and performed the music for the show ‘Killing Elsa’, which had its premiere in May 2017 in the Teign Valley. They have also worked with many other local individuals and organisations, performing live music in aid of charities, and for private and public functions. They sing covers, and popular songs and ballads from the 1920s to last week!
2pm Chloe Luscombe
Chloe’s versatile vocal talent has led to her starring in productions like The Sound of Music, Annie Get your Gun and more recently as Pritti in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. With Chloe’s impressive vocals she can sing a range of genres and captivates her audience.
3.15pm The Wayward Pynes
Following the pulling of the winning tickets for the prize draw, The Wayward Pynes return to the stage to round off the afternoon.
