Emily Almond
Trustee
Emily has worked in social media, marketing and business development for 14 years, since leaving school. Over that time, she has developed skills in brand storytelling, audience engagement and helping organisations grow their reach and income.
Emily first got involved with Cancer Lifeline South West as a volunteer, helping with the marketing for our annual family fun day, a fundraising event. In 2025 she welcomed her daughter and decided to become a stay-at-home mum.
Keen to continue using her business skills, Emily joined our Trustee Board in 2026, and hopes to use her marketing and communications experience to help raise awareness of our work, support fundraising and reach more people who could benefit from attending our Time To Retune breaks. She has previously served as a trustee for a food charity, and therefore understands the responsibilities of the Trustee role and the value that good governance and exposure brings to a charity.
Emily said “It is wonderful to give back to such an incredible charity, and I hope to show my daughter the importance of volunteering and supporting charitable causes too.”
